Parents unknown; wife of Sam Brutus <49?>; mother of Betty Brutus(381>, Judith Brutuß (289>, Sally Brutus <285>, Pat <--->, George Tuckson <218>, Silvy Brutus <179), and Beckey (Brutua?J (073>. Probably one of two persons named Sarah residing at Coles Point in 1782. Sent from Coles Point to the Shenandoah tract in April 1787. Residing at Scorpio in 1788 and 1791. Named in 1791 deed of emancipation. Scheduled for emancipation in 1792. Emancipated by deed dated January 2, 1792; deed proved in Westmoreland County Court, May 29, 1792.
