<462> Samuel Thomas ("Sam) -- Born. 1743-44. Parents unknown; husband of Mimy (who lived on Charles Carter's Hill Quarter on Totuskey Creek). Residing at Nomony Hal]. in 1773, 1775, 1782, 1784 (tithable), 1785 (tithable), 1790, and 1791. However, he must have been transferred to Cancer/Prince William soon after 1775, since he ran away from there to Nomony Hall in March 1779. Carter permitted him to stay at Nomony Hall to be nearer his wife. Thomas was described as a carpenter in 1774, 1775, 1786, 1790, and 1791; as a river (wood-splitter) in 1782; and as a cooper in 1784 and 1785. Over 45 years old in 1791, Thomas was freed by a deed dated .anuary 1, 1793, and proved in Westmore]and County Court on February 27, 1793.
