Working as cartman in 1773 and 1775. Residing at Nomony Hall in 1775 and 1782, at Coles Point in 1785 (tithable), 1788, 1790, and 1791. Supposed to have impregnated his wife's sister, Judith Brutus <289>, in 1787. Temporarily assigned to Dickerson's Mill in 1787. Named in 1791 deed of emancipation. Scheduled for emancipation in 1796. Received certificate of emancipation in January 1796. Certificate later recorded among papers of Pennsylvania Abolition Society.
