<413> Prue Dixon (also "Prew and 'Dickson") -- Born 1762. Parents unknown; wife of William Dickson <442); mother of Henny <280>. Residing at Nomony Hall in 1775, 1782, 1784 (tithable), 1185 (tithable), 1790, and 1791. Described as spinner in 1775, 1790, and 1791. Sent by ship to Baltimore in March 1789 to accompany Sarah Fairfax Carter back to Nomony Hall. Named in 1791 deed of emancipation. Scheduled for emancipation in 1796. Placed in February 1792 under the care of her husband, who had been freed and was residing as a tenant at Nomony Hall. Emancipated by deed dated January 1, 1793 (three years early); deed proved in Westmoreland County Court, February 28, 1793.
