<360> Prince Johnson -- Born 1763 (although some sources suggest ca. 1767-69). Parents unknown. Residing at Nomony Hall in 1775,, at Aries in 1782, 1785 (tithable), 178 (tithable), 1790, and 1791. Described as weaver. Seized by Virginia military authorities in 1781 as compensation for Carter's unpaid recruitment tax, but evidently released. Hired to Daniel Sullivan at Aries in 1782. Aided in recapture of two escaped criminals at Nomony Granary in 1790. Named in 1791 deed of emancipation. Scheduled for emancipation in 1796. Received certificate of emancipation in January 1796.
