<353> Pressley (also spelled Presley, Presly," and Prestly) -- Born 1765. Parents unknown; husband o Mary Thornton <380); probably father of Lucy Thornton (192>, Bett<--->, Aggy Thornton 136>, Lettice Thornton <123>, Betty(Thornton?) <070>, Tom (Thornton?) <012), and Ciller(Thornton) <558>. Residing at Forest Quarter in 1782, 1785(tithable), 1788 (foreman), 1790 (foreman), 1791, and 1796(foreman). In 1790 he was tried but found innocent of stealing a sheep from William Harrison, the tenant at Forest Quarter. Named in 1791 deed of emancipation. Scheduled for emancipation in 1798.
