Polly Reid

<195> Polly Reid --Born 1780. Daughter of Patt <--->; niece of Joseph Reid <443>. Residing at Cancer/Prince William in 1788, 1791, 1795, and 1796. Named in 1791 deed of emancipation. Schedulcd for emancipation in 1799. In 1792, her mother then being dead, Joe Reid offered to pay Carter compensation so that Polly (referred to here as"Molly") could live with him. Polly was emancipated by a deed dated November 3, 1799; the deed was proved in Frederick County Court on December 3, 1799. Her age was certified in Frederick County Court in January 1800.
