<475> Joseph Brutus (Joe') -- Born 1738 (although one source suggests 1747). Parents and other relatives unknown. Residing at Coles Point in 1782, 1785 (tithable), 1788, 1790, and 1791. Complaining of sore legs in 1790 and exempted from taxes in Westmoreland County in 1791. Over 45 years old in 1791. Emancipated by deed dated January 1, 1793; deed proved in Weatmoreland County Court, February 27, 1793.
