<162) John Newman -- Born 1782. Son of Phillis Newman <420>
and Sawney <407>. Residing at Nomony Hall in 1790, 1791,
and 1796. Named in 1791 deed of emancipation. Scheduled
for emancipation in 1803. Working with labor gang in May
1792. Emancipated by deed dated January 1, 1803; deed
proved in Frederick County Court, February 1, 1803.
