201> John ("John Hobday' or "John Reid"?) -- Born 1778 or
1779. Son of Nanny <--->; dead by 1787); grandson of John
Craft (505). Residing at Forest in 1782 and 1785. Sent
from Forest to Capricorn in January 1788. Residing at
Sagittarius in 1788, 1791, and 1796. Named in 1791 deed of
emancipation. Scheduled for emancipation in 1801. In April
1792, John ran away from Sagittarius to Nomony Hall, where
he received clothing. He was sent back to Sagittarius with
a pardon from Carter. Possibly the same person as "John
Hobday" or "John Reid," both emancipated by deed dated
January 1, 1801; deed proved in Frederick County Court,
