Residing at Nomony Hall probably as early as 1717; definitely residing there in 1784 (tithable)1 1785 (tithable), 1790, and 1791. Described c bricklayer from 1777 onward. Working on Nornony Hall estate projects at Aries (1771) and Old Ordinary (1789). working for hire in 1782, 1784, and 1784. Assisting in agricultural or gang labor at Nomony Granary (1781), Dickerson's Miii (1787), and Coles Point (1788). Named in 1791 deed of emancipation. Scheduled for emancipation in 1792. Emancipated by deed dated January 2, 1792; deed proved in Westmorelund County Court, February 28, 1792. Authorized to hire out his own time, February 1, 1792. Rented house and one-half acre at Aries in February 1792; also hired his wife and two children, Working for wages on Nomony Hall estate in 1792 and 1793. Received certificate of emancipation on July 28, 1792.
