Parents unknown; husband of Becky <367>; probably father of Hutchinson Weldon <154>, George Weldon (113), Eliza (Weldon?) <080, Cordelia (Weldon <067>, Sam Weldon <006>, and Criss [Weldon?] <530>. Described as weaver. Hired to Daniel Sullivan at Aries at beginning of 1782, but weaving at Leo by February 19, 1782; brought back to Aries in April 1782. Residing at Aries in 1785 (tithable), 1789 (tithable), 1790, and 1791. Performing agricultural labor at Aries and Coles Point in 1788. Named in 1791 deed of emancipation. Scheduled for emancipation in 1796. Received certificate of emancipation, January 1796.
