<309> Dennis Newman -- Born 1770. Parents unknown. Residing at Taurus in 1782, 1785, and 1787. Scheduled to start work at cooper's shop on January 1, 1788, but described as "laborer" in 1790. Residing at Nomony Hall in 1790, at Old Ordinary in 1791 and 1796. Named in 1791 deed of emancipation. Scheduled for emancipation in 1800. Emancipated by deed dated January 6, 1800; deed proved in Frederick County Court, January 7, 1800. Also named in later deed dated December 21, 1803.
