<270> Billy Johnson -- Born 1772 or 1773. Son of Sarah Johnson <452>. Residing at Gemini in 1782 and 1785. Sent from Gemini to Capricorn in January 1788. Residing at Capricorn in 1789 and 1791. Named in 1791 deed of emancipation. Scheduled for emancipation in 1795. In the fall of 1792, Billy ran away twice from Abner Newman, tenant at Capricorn. He was captured the first time and taken to Nomony Hall. The second time he successfully made his way to Nomony Hall, but was returned to Capricorn. He received his certificate of emancipation in 1795.
