<279> Bett ("Betty") -- Born 1775. Parents unknown. Residing at Nomony Hall in 1791 (described as "Nursery maid"). Named in 1791 deed of emancipation. Scheduled for emancipation in 1793. In April 1792, Bett went to Baltimore to serve in the household where Julia Carter lived. On the date she was due to be emancipated, she was still living in Baltimore. She was emancipated in Maryland on July 4, 1793.
