<464> Abraham Daniel -- Born 1726 (one source suggests 1732). Parents unknown; husband of Betty Daniel <471>; grandfather of Lucy [Thornton?] <192) and Betty <--->. Residing at Forest Quarter in 1782 and 1785 (tithable). Sent from Forest to the Shenandoah tract in April 1787. Claimed that he was too old to work. Ran away from Virgo (one source says Capricorn) with his wife and two grandchildren in June or early July 1788. Reached Nomony Hall by July 15, 1788. Apparently placed in John Peck's service, from which he was released on March 6, 1792. Over 45 years old in 1791. Emancipated by deed dated January 1, 1793; deed proved in Westmoreland County Court, February 27, 1793.
