(391> Nacey' Johnson ("Ignatius," "Nasey) -- Born 1761. Parents unknown. Residing at Nomony Hall in 1775, 1782, 1784 (tithable), 1790, and 1791. Described as miller in 1775 and 1785, as laborer in 1790, and as shoemaker in 1791. Working at Nomony Hall Double Mill in 1774 and 1785; temporarily assigned in 1785 to Dickerson's Mill, in 1786 to Coles Point, in 1787 to Dickerson's Mill again, in 1789 to Old Ordinary. Aided in recapturing two escape criminals at Nomony Granary in 1790. Named in 179] deed of emancipation. Scheduled for emancipation in 1795. Received certificate of emancipation in 1795.
